Departing for Southern Labrador

Posted by NRG SVR in 100 MPG Challenge

I’m leaving the B&B now, and will head to the St Barbe ferry. I should be in Blanc-Sablon by noon, and will spend the rest of daylight on seeing everything I can. My ferry tonight out of Blanc-Sablon is reserved. I will sail with Relais Nordik to Natashquan, and should arrive mid Sunday morning. Sunday night I’ll be in Baie-Comeau, then Quebec City on Monday.

This should be another highlight of the trip.

I’ll write again soon.

Learned of your voyage tonight on the Discovery channel (Daily Planet show).

Enjoyed reading through your journey. I actually have what I consider to be the grandfather to the Smart car, namely an early VW Beetle. Similar 40 HP, similar weight, similar fuel efficiency (for its time that is), and similar charm too!

If only the Smart can achieve the production volume enjoyed by the Beetle over the decades that it was in production.

I’ll be following your journey back west now. I’ve travelled many of the same highways as far east as Halifax and as far west as Victoria. Here in Calgary, I see lots of Smart cars now.

Have a safe trip back… You might have to fight winds from the west all the way across the plains however. ;-(

Hope you survived Charlottetown. Good to meet you. Hope you can get down Niagara way next time you are across Canada. Way to go.
